The 4 pillars
The method
What is the method about?
The four pillars of the Conscious Moment method—Movement, Creativity, Breath, and Facial Exercise—together address various aspects of our being. Creativity gives us the opportunity to express our full humanity, helping us discover who we are and how we want to be seen. I maintain that breath is the very foundation of our nature and the things that surround us. We move through life in one way or another to the rhythm of our breath: with calm and constancy, with anger and fear, with love and wisdom… the truth is, we can choose every day. It is also breath that connects our body to our mind. Movement is healing; everything in life and nature is movement, and our body is no different. For a calm mind, we need a healthy body, with mobility and energy. The pillar dedicated to facial exercises is related to relaxation. Where we accumulate tension, energy does not flow. That is why we carefully and attentively seek out tension in our face, releasing it in our face and body in general. For me, all these pillars are related to beauty and health.
About the teacher and creator of the method
Many paths lead to the same place. I feel that after 20 years of practicing Ashtanga Yoga (I'm a certified SYC teacher); after studying ways to connect with myself (including shamanism, meditation, and exercises to connect and relax my body); after spending five years at a fine arts university and growing up in an artistic, spiritual, and eccentric family (all at once); I've acquired a sense of reality and fantasy (perhaps not in equal measure), enough to discover some of my own flaws and strengths. And this has taught me to love who I am. A critical love, one that doesn't let me become complacent in my search, but also compassionate because it recognizes that I'm doing my best with the tools that have come my way.
Now I've decided to share all these discoveries with you, so you can unleash your full potential and embrace the life that's meant for you.
Join me on this adventure of movement, creativity, and the search for balance!
I hope to see you in class!
Warm regards
Paloma
